Dried Banana Chips

This is Day 5 of my Daniel Fast.

I LOVE dried banana chips...they are SOOOO addicting.... I can't stop eating them !!!!!  They are SOOOOO sweet and chewy.  The dried bananas you buy in the store are hard and do not have the flavor that homemade dried bananas do.  Everyone who has had these dried banana chips LOVES them.

Ingredients:
ripe bananas, sliced

Directions:

Put the sliced bananas on the mesh sheets on dehydrator trays, in a single layer and so the banana slices do not overlap.

If your dehydrator has a temperature control, set it to 135 degrees.   The average drying time is 8-12 hours.  The drying time is affected by the thickness of the slices, the humidity, the moisture content, how much is being dried.  So you will need to check every once in a while and see how the bananas are drying.  To check for dryness, take a banana slice out and let it completely cool, then eat it and see if it is nice and chewy and a little sticky.  It should also have  a caramel color and texture !!!  If you dry them too long they will be crispier.

I have a Nesco-American Harvest Gardenmaster Dehydrator
which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE.

Part of the Daniel Fast is praising God.....SO......

Praise God for he is:
eternal, everywhere, Emmanuel, everlasting, end

yet their message goes out to all the world and is heard to the ends of the earth.  God made a home in the sky for the sun;
Psalm 19:4 (GNT)
