Daniel Fast Chocolate Fudge Brownie Bars

The Daniel Fast Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins have such a chocolate fudge taste to them, that I thought they would taste good as a bar - they make such a good snack !! The muffins were SOOOOO good !!!

This recipe was adapted from my Daniel Fast Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins.  The recipes are pretty much the same except I added nuts and ground cardamon and baked it in a square pan instead of a muffin pan.

Ingredients:
1 cup Quaker old fashioned oats
cup Oat Flour
1/4 cup Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardamon
1/3 cup nuts, chopped (I used almonds)
1/3 cup Unsweetened Shredded Coconut  (I use Bob's Red Mill)
1/4 cup Ground Flaxseed
--------
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 mashed banana
1/2 cup date syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter (no sugar), slightly melted

Directions:

Mix the applesauce, mashed banana, date syrup, and peanut butter in one bowl.

Mix the dry ingredients in another bowl.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened.

Press into 8x8 and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  1. Date honey is not allowed on the Daniel Fast, just like all other sweeteners.

  2. Bruh its natural honey thats not allowed, if u look at the date syrup recipe in here you would see there is nothing inside of it that goes against the daniel fast. Facepalm.

  4. Thank you so much for this recipe that I will try soon. Some people are very legalistic. I use date sugar, it’s natural and God isn’t not honoring our fasts because we used some date sugar in our brownies lol. He looks at our heart.
